Jeremy Michael Gatewood, age 36 and a resident of Lakeland, Tennessee, died Wednesday June 20, 2018. He was a former resident of Livingston Parish, Louisiana and attended Walker High School. Jeremy was always good working with his hands as he was an electrician, carpenter and a good handy-man. He was also an artist and loved to draw. Jeremy wasn’t afraid to try anything and he was the kind of guy you wanted on your side, always willing to help out. Jeremy’s favorite thing to do was make others laugh, often by playing tricks and practical jokes on his family and friends.
Survived by: Mother and Step-father: Sharon Taylor Tornabene and Jim Hewitt of Piedmont, SC; Father and Step-mother: Jeffrey and Phyllis Gatewood of Livingston, LA; 4 Sons: Caleb Gatewood, Raleigh, Aiden and Owen; 3 Brothers and a Sister in law: Brandon and Amanda Tornabene of Ashville, NC, Taylor Tornabene, Logan Tornabene both of Lakeland, TN; Nephew and Nieces: Matthew, Arabella, and Daisy; Grandparents: Dorothy Martin of Thomas, Chuck and Bobbie Gatewood of Walker, LA; Also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Lawrence Robert Taylor, Sr. and step-grandfather Ernest E. Martin.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton, LA) on Sunday June 24th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Monday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Monday with Bro. Matthew Booty officiating. Burial will follow in the Faith Tabernacle Church Cemetery.
