Slidell PD Investigating Self-Inflicted Gunshot

Shortly before 1:00 p.m. today (May 16, 2018), a person suffered, from what appeared to be, a self-inflicted gunshot outside of the lobby of the Slidell Memorial Hospital emergency room. An off-duty Slidell Police officer, who was working a security detail at Slidell Memorial Hospital, was immediately on-scene. There were no other injuries reported. No further details were available.
