The sweet Angel of Mercy moved in quietly on April 30, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at her residence in Franklinton, LA, and bore the spirit of Hynitha “Birdie” Burkhalter at the age of 69.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, Dorothy Jean (Ronald) Bickham and Albertine Burkhalter both of Franklinton, LA; three brothers, Rufus (Kerrylynn) of New Orleans, LA, Edward J. Burkhalter of Texas, and Donald (Louise) Burkhalter of Gretna, LA; one goddaughter, Jacaria Bickham of Baton Rouge, LA; one god son, Amarie Conerly of Franklinton, LA; a host other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ola Mae and Learther Burkhalter; three brothers, Learther, Willie, and Clinton Burkhalter;
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Chapel of Crain & Sons Funeral Home- Franklinton, La. From 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM
The Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Mallory Callahan, Jr. - Officiating.
Crain & Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton, LA are in charge of arrangements.
