Eyvonne Ricks
August 20, 1935 - April 23, 2018



Eyvonne Ricks, a native of Kentwood and a resident of Denham Springs, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge at the age of 82.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Kentwood and IRA #84 Order of Eastern Star. She loved spending time with family and friends, scrap booking and putting puzzles together.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Layton Ricks, Jr. and wife, Susan, Denham Springs, Ronnie Ricks and wife, Susan, Canton, MS; daughter, Judy Ricks Garcia and husband, Larry, Denham Springs; 11 grandchildren, Angela, April, Layci, Nancy and Brett, Rondi, Rob, Joel and Kristin, Heather, and Lucretia; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by the love of her live of 59 ½ years , Luther L. Ricks, Sr.; parents, George and Ada Lou Tidwell; sisters, Lillie Mae Easley and Norma D. Christopher; granddaughter, Jessica N. Garcia and grandson, Larry Garcia, II.
Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 5 PM until 8 PM, Wednesday and from 8 AM until religious services at 11 AM Thursday, April 26, 2018. Services conducted by Rev. Leo Miller. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood.
Pallbearers will be Brett Miller, Brien LeBlanc, RP Scritchfield, Gary White, Michael Temple, and Mason White. Honorary Pallbearer will be Rob Ricks.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Heart Association, 10 Glenlake Parkway  NE South Tower, Ste 400, Atlanta, GA 30328.
