Michael Scott Campbell
March 10, 1971 - April 8, 2018



MICHAEL SCOTT CAMPBELL, a resident of Houston and who grew up in the Enon community, died Sunday April 8, 2018 at the age of 47. He was a native of New Orleans before moving to the Enon Community as a boy. Michael later graduated from Franklinton High School in 1989. After graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country until 2001. Michael, a Field Radio Communicator, was stationed in Croatia, Bosnia and Okinawa before returning to Cherry Point, NC and Paris Island, SC, where he served as a drill instructor. He also lived in California for several years before moving to Houston. Michael then began a career as a Security System Technician installing those systems in residences and businesses throughout east Texas for different companies over the years. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling and playing darts. He also was a good pool player and enjoyed shooting sports.
Survived by: Daughter: Mikayla Campbell of Independence; Mother: Marilyn Campbell of Enon; Brother and Sister in law: Jeff and Dawn Webb of Enon; Niece and a Spouse: Danielle and Adam Chadwell of Acworth, GA; Aunt: Charlotte Allen; Former Wife and Friend: Jennifer Sirchia of Independence; Also survived by many friends and co-workers.
He was preceded in death by his father James William “Jimmy” Campbell and his grandparents.
Visitation will be at Enon Baptist Church (14049 Hwy. 16, Franklinton, LA) Sunday April 15th from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church at 3:00 pm Sunday with Rev. Chris Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Knight Memorial Gardens in Enon.
