Allen "Pity Pat" Pierce
June 17, 1932 - April 24, 2018



Allen Dale "Pity Pat" Pierce, a native of Franklinton and longtime resident of Slidell, died Tuesday morning April 24, 2018 at Cannon Hospice in New Orleans at the age of 85.
He attended Franklinton High School and played in the marching band. Allen was the owner of two Texaco service stations in Slidell and also had a wrecker service. He was also formerly a Grayline Tour Bus driver that provided tours throughout New Orleans, the river parishes and much of southeast Louisiana. Allen always enjoyed fishing and shrimping.
Survived by: 3 Children and Spouses: Becky Pierce Punzo and Kerry Punzo of Metairie, Reid and Diane Pierce of Abita Springs, Randy Pierce of Slidell; Longtime Companion: Anna Dell Cregar of Long Beach, MS; 9 Grandchildren and Spouses: Paul Punzo, Korie and Kevin Carrigee, Wendy Leiva, Adam Pierce,  Ryan and DeAnna Pierce, James Pierce, Leslie Kastner, Stephanie Balderson, Sarah Latiolais; 17 Great-grandchildren: Dakota Bryant, Kailie Carrigee, Karsen Carrigee, Lindsay Leiva, Caitlin Leiva, Sophie Leiva,
Devyn Pierce, Cade Pierce, Lexie Pierce, Kylie Pierce, Christian Pierce, Jolie’ Pierce, Zoey Matherne,  Millie Balderson, Cameron Kastner, Cayden Kastner, Bryce Latiolais; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Irene and Mark Vile of Metairie, Gloria Nell Wilson of Florida; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia Etheridge Pierce, his parents Wendell Pierce and Eunice Green Pierce and the mother of his children Betty P. Pierce.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Tuesday May 1st from 12 pm until 2 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm Tuesday with brother in law Eld. Mark Vile officiating. Burial will follow in the Morris Cemetery.
