This Bogalusa Driver Really Tried to Get Away!

On Friday (March 23, 2018), Officers from the Bogalusa Police Department observed a vehicle traveling on Dan Street without a license plate. Officers got behind the vehicle and turned on the emergency blue lights in an attempt to initiate a traffic stop.  Instead, the driver fled.
After several blocks, the driver exited the vehicle while it was still in motion at the intersection of Grove and S. Royal Streets.  The vehicle rolled approximately 2 blocks before striking a chain link fence and came to a stop.
The driver then ran approximately 150 yards before he was apprehended. The driver was identified as Ondrej J. Bickham (23) of Bogalusa.
Bickham was charged with Vehicle License Required, Driving While License is Suspended, No Insurance, Failure to Secure/Carry Registration, Flight From an Officer, Reckless Operation of a Vehicle, 3 counts of Stop Sign-Must Stop, 4 counts of Turning Signal Required, General Speed Law, Improper Lane Usage and Seat Belt Use.
