Carolyn "Kakie" Chiles Sumrall
July 27, 1937 - March 14, 2018
CAROLYN “KAKIE” CHILES SUMRALL, AGE 80 and a resident of Franklinton passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was a longtime employee with the Washington Parish Activity fulfilling many duties. She enjoyed watching golf and working in her yard. She doted on her grandchildren.
Survived by: Son: Todd Magee of Franklinton; 2 Grandchildren: Lance Magee of Wilmington, NC, Emily Magee of Greenville, NC; Mother of grandchildren: Jackie Magee; Father of son: Marvin Magee; Nieces and nephews and spouses: Harold Varnado, Mike and Debbie Varnado, Tammy Ingram, Rusty and Shelly Varnado, Tonja Seal; Also numerous great nieces, nephews and friends; Her family at Washington Parish Activity Center
She was preceded in death by her husband Darvin Sumrall, her parents Lud and Florence Greene Chiles, a sister Peggy C. Varnado and a nephew Alan Varnado.
Visitation will be at Trinity Baptist Church Monday, March 19, 2018 from 10 AM until 1 PM. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM at the church with Dr. Joe Baugh and Rev. Clay Spinks officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
