One Arrested and One Wanted in Bogalusa Home Invasion

According to a WPSO press release, Shaquille Jorvousa Lewis (24) and Damien Thompson (26) committed the crime of attempted second degree murder after they forced their way into a residence north of Bogalusa while armed with pistols, began hitting the male victim with their pistols and started shooting at him. The victim was hit once but was able to flee. He was treated at a local hospital and released.
The incident occurred on February 7, 2018 and Lewis was arrested on February 8.
Anyone with information about the shooting or the location of Damion Thompson is asked to contact Detective Corbet Hunt at 985-839-3434. Thompson is believed to be hiding out in north Bogalusa.
Lewis has an arrest record that includes domestic abuse of a pregnant woman, simple battery with injury, aggravated assault with a firearm, criminal damage to property, burglary of an inhabited dwelling, possession of stolen property, armed robbery, aggravated robbery, aggravated battery, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and illegal discharge of a weapon.
Thompson’s arrest record includes charges of attempted second degree murder, attempted attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery.
