Fatal Shooting at Sandy Hook, MS Being Investigated

The Walthall County Sheriff's Office reports that around 6:30 am this morning (February 7, 2018) they received a 911 call reporting a shooting on North Patten Rd., Sandy Hook, Mississippi. An ambulance and deputies were dispatched. The victim, Lejill Lewis, was transported to Walthall General Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
JC James, Jr. (51) of Knoxo Rd., Tylertown, Mississippi, was taken into custody at the Walthall County Sheriff’s Department and being held pending charges.
“We need anyone who had contact with JC James, Jr. on Tuesday evening or Wednesday and has information regarding this case to contact our office immediately at 601-876-3481 or Walthall County Crime Stoppers at 601-467-1878.” says Sheriff Kyle Breland.
As with all cases, the Defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
