Obituary

Edgie Morris Peters
November 14, 1959 - January 16, 2018



Sis. Edgie L. Morris Peters was born November 14,1929, to the late Herman Morris and Oudia Morris. Sis. Peters was united in holy matrimony on November 1, 1947 to the late Hollis Peters. To this union seven children were born.
Sis. Peters was a member of greater Center Baptist church where she remained faithful until her death.
Sis. Peters leaves to mourn five children; Willie (Iness) Peters, Helen Weary, Theresa Peters, Donice Owens all of Angie, LA, Hollis Clayton Peters of Jackson, MS, one sister, Ella Rose Morris Guider of Chicago, Il, three brothers Paul Morris of Franklinton, LA; Delaurl Morris and Anthony (Anita) Morris of Varnado, LA, one daughter-in-law, Rosailean Peters, of Angie, LA, 17 grandchildren including five reared in her home; Barbara Weary Cox, Zachary Harry, Sr., Latasha Peters Davis, and Gregory Davis, Jr.; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; two God children, Demetris (Lorenza) Rayford of Franklinton, LA and Brittney Cole of Angie, LA one play daughter, Loretta Pittman of Angie, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sis. Peters was proceeded in death by; her parents, Herman Morris and Oudia Morris; her husband, Hollis Peters; one son, Jessie E. Peters; one daughter, Linda Williams; one son-in-law, Charles Weary Sr.; two grandsons, John Neal Williams and Darrick Williams; three sisters, Veola Smith, Olivia Sheridan, and Octavia Pigott; four brothers, Herman Morris, Jr., Charles Morris, Eugene Morris, and Terry Morris.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel from 2:00PM -5:00PM followed by a family hour from 5:00PM - 7:00PM.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00AM at Greater Center Baptist Church 29828 Hwy 21 Angie, LA with Rev. Sidney Jones - Pastor Officiating. Interment: Wesley Ray Cemetery.
