John Robert Stogner
October 18, 1966 - January 16, 2018


John Robert Stogner, age 51, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at his residence in Bogalusa surrounded by his wife and two daughters. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He worked with the Bogalusa Police Department, Washington Parish Sheriff Department, Kotzebue Police Department in Alaska, OLAH as a security guard and also worked for the Sand Point Police Department in Alaska.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Eva Stogner of Bogalusa, LA; two daughters, Skyler Stogner and Dakota Stogner both of Bogalusa, LA; a sister, Kim Stogner of Amite, LA; and a brother, Jim Stogner of Amite, LA; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Stogner; a sister, Emily Stogner; and his grandparents that raised him, Bertha and Jim Stogner.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. Funeral Services will begin at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. Keith Sheridan officiating. Cremation will follow.
