Marjory B. Herrington
November 22, 2017



Marjory B. Herrington, a resident of Hattiesburg and a former resident of Bogalusa, died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the age of 83 at Provision Living in Hattiesburg. She was a member of Hardy Street Baptist Church and the Faith Bible Fellowship Class in Hattiesburg. The deceased was born in Bogalusa and remained a resident there for 63 years, at which time she and her husband Earl (now deceased) moved to Hattiesburg, MS.
While a resident of Bogalusa she was an active member of Superior Avenue Baptist Church, serving as a member of the church choir, children’s choir director, teacher, committee member and also served as financial secretary for several years.
The deceased is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul E. and Nan Herrington of Pine, LA; a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Lindy Tolar of Hattiesburg, MS; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl F. Herrington; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Bertoniere; three sisters, Catherine B. Ritchie, Marion B. Fortenberry, and Gloria B. Talley; and two brothers, George W. Bertoniere, Jr. and Roland A. Bertoniere and one granddaughter, Jodi Herrington.
Visitation will be at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Garden of Peace in Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa. Officiating will be Rev. Darryl Fortenberry.
