Dianne Guy Wall
October 28, 1946 - November 24, 2017



DIANNE GUY WALL, AGE 71 and a resident of the Sunny Hill Community died Friday evening November 24, 2017 at her home. She was born on the home place in Sunny Hill on October 28, 1946 and went to be with the Lord just a short distance from her birthplace on the same family ground. Dianne graduated from Mount Hermon School in 1965 and later became a legal secretary for the Department of Labor. She attended Sunny Hill Baptist Church, where she was the church pianist for the last 2 years. Dianne grew up in Sunny Hill church, was saved there, married the love of her life there, and lastly her funeral service conducted in the same cherished building. Dianne was an artist that loved painting, even receiving the honor of the Washington Parish Fair Poster contest in 2016. She was also the author of several children’s books and an outstanding cook that loved hosting her family and friends. Dianne adored her grandchildren who proclaim her “the Best Grandma in the World.”
Survived by: Husband of 52 years: Percy Wall of Sunny Hill; 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Tamara and Randall Pitre of Spanish Fort, AL, Crystal Langlois of Kingwood, TX; 4 Grandchildren: Reagan Pitre, Mason Pitre, Preston Langlois, Ryan Langlois; Also numerous brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents Glynn R. Guy and Ruby Pierce Guy, sisters Janice Raybourn, Genivia Buras, brothers Donald Guy, Wayne Guy, Stanley Guy.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Monday November 27th from 5 pm until 9 pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday at Sunny Hill Baptist Church at 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:30 am with Rev. William Edwards and Dr. Joe Baugh officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Kentwood.
