James Kenneth Allen

James Kenneth Allen, age 81 and a resident of Kentwood, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond. He had a full and long life and enjoyed every day of it. He was co-owner and operator of Kentwood Farm Center. Also, he was a City Councilman and Alderman for the Town of Kentwood for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Lee Allen; 2 sons, David Young Allen and James Allen, Jr.; 6 grandchildren, Eli Allen and wife, Marla, Savana Allen, Jordan Allen, Stephen Allen, Katie Allen, and Landon Allen; brother, Keith Allen; sister, Dorothy Gill and husband, Billy; and sister in law, Rosalie Wheeler.
Preceded in death by his parents, J. Y. and Mamie Allen.
Visitation at First Baptist Church of Kentwood from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood.
