The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office today (October 31, 2017) reported that Charish Granier Watson (41) was arrested October 29, 2017 on the charge of Felony Theft and for stealing $21,000 in lottery tickets from her convenience store employer and redeeming about $3000 in winnings. TPSO’s Financial Crimes Investigator Detective Travis Pittman witnessed Watson complete an unauthorized purchase for lottery tickers. In addition, the investigation reviewed financial reports, video surveillance and scheduling records, it was determined that Watson was the sole person responsible for the theft over the past few months.
The press release stated that Watson confessed after being arrested.
