Great News for High School FFA Members

Today (November 20, 2017), Governor John Bel Edwards announced the creation of a statewide scholarship agreement between the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) and the Louisiana Future Farmers of America Student Association (FFA). The agreement calls for a $500 one-time scholarship for every Louisiana FFA member who graduates from a Louisiana high school and a $1,000 one-time scholarship for each state champion to any LCTCS college, beginning with the high school graduating class of 2017-2018. The scholarship offer will be valid for the fall semester following high school graduation only.
“Having a college degree or becoming certified in a certain specialty is one of the most important assets anyone can have who is interested in securing a good paying job, which is something our community and technical college system and the FFA understand,” said Gov. Edwards.
