The Slidell Police Department is investigating an early morning (October 16, 2017) crash which claimed the life of John Parker (20) of Slidell. The crash occurred on Gause Boulevard West in front of the Grande Theater.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Parker, for unknown reasons, crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a pickup truck, driven by Ronald Cittandino (56) of Slidell, hauling a trailer full of sand.
Parker sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Both Cittandino and his 10-year-old passenger were uninjured.
