Barbara Sue Fisher
June 25, 1945 - October 24, 2017 


Barbara Sue Fisher, age 72 and a resident of Franklinton, died Tuesday morning October 24, 2017 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. Barbara was a member of Clifton Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing with the church choir and attending her adult Sunday school class. Barbara loved to sing and dance and just had a real love for people. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and was always happiest caring for the youngest ones.
Survived by: Son and Daughter in law: Walter Scott Welch and Donna Warren Welch of Denham Springs; Grandsons: Blake Mitchell, Christopher Welch, Case Warren; Sister in law: Gayle Fisher of Walker; Nephews and a Niece: Marc Daniels, Jacob Fisher, Carrie Fisher; Great-nephews: Jesse Fisher, Jacson Fisher; Cousin and Special Friend: Ina Mae Creel; Cousins: Ken Manning, Ginger Ann Barber, Marcie Bickham, Cindy Hegge, Sandy Chastain, Jimmy Fisher, Billy Ray Fisher, Chuck Fisher, Johnny Lane Fisher
She was preceded in death by an infant son William Russell Welch, her parents Walter Fisher and Azzie “Tommie” Manning Fisher, a brother Johnny “Denny” Fisher, cousins Charles “Pete” Miller and Tom Fisher.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday October 27th from 10 am until 2 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tony Hicks officiating. Billy Ray Fisher will share a special eulogy of Barbara written by her close friend Sylvia Garrett, as well as provide musical selections, along with Carrie Fisher. Burial will follow in Morris Cemetery.
