Alert WPSO Patrol Sergeant Makes Drug Arrest

While on patrol, September 30, 2017, Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office patrol Sergeant

Randy Reviere made a traffic stop on a suspicious truck carrying a red 4-wheeler that was unsecured. The tailgate of the truck was not locked in place to secure the 4-wheeler and other items in the bed of the truck.
The driver, Anthony Scardina, III (41) of Loranger did not have a driver’s license on his person. A criminal check indicated Scardina had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge. Scardina was advised he was under arrest and a subsequent search revealed Scardina had methamphetamine, a firearm, cash, and other drug related items in his possession. All items were seized and placed into evidence.
Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “Good arrest, Sgt. Reviere! I appreciate your being alert to this situation and making certain Scardina transitioned out of our community and into our jail. I am grateful for the excellent work you and all of our officers do on a daily basis.”
