Lavelle Penton
January 29, 1938 - September 28, 2017

Lavelle Penton, age 79 and a resident of Angie, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, LA. He was born on January 29, 1938 in Washington Parish, LA. He was a member of Monroe Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Adams Penton of Angie, LA; two sons, Bruce (Donna) Penton of Folsom, LA, and Richard A. Penton of Lenoir City, TN; his sister, Lucille Ellis of Tylertown, MS; his brother, Donald Penton of MS; and a step-grandson, Kevin Alford of Louisville, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Odine and Verlie Penton; and a sister, Myrtis Terrell.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 12:00 P.M.-3:00P.M. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 P.M. with Elder Tommy McNair, Elder Billy Reyer, and Elder Glen Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Singley Cemetery in Angie, LA.
