Charles Cullen Bateman
June 6, 1928 - August 14, 2017


CHARLES CULLEN BATEMAN, AGE 89 and a resident of Hammond died early Monday morning August 14, 2017 at Heritage Health Care. He was a longtime resident of Franklinton and a United States Army veteran of the Korean War Era. Charles was a former mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office within the town of Franklinton for many years. He was also a successful pine tree farmer and a real steward of the land.
Survived by: 2 Sisters: Katherine Bateman, Marilyn Bateman both of Hammond; Also several close cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert Bateman and Wilda Creel Bateman.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday August 17th in Ellis Cemetery in Franklinton.
