Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L responded Wednesday (August 30, 2017) morning to a two vehicle fatal crash on I-10 near Oak Harbor Blvd that claimed the life of Jody G. Lasalle (52) of Mandeville.
Troopers determined that as he was driving a 2007 Ford F-150 eastbound on I-10, Lasalle's vehicle traveled off the roadway to the left, through the grass median and into the westbound travel lanes. Lasalle’s truck was struck on the driver’s side by a 2017 Ford F-150 driven by Louie Cole (30) of Metairie.
Lasalle sustained moderate injuries and was transported to University Medical Center by Acadian Ambulance but succumbed to his injuries. Cole was not injured in the crash.
