Medications (typically meant for animals) was taken by the suspect who was captured by security cameras wearing a ski mask, latex/rubber gloves and a pair of flip flops. Video clips were posted on the STPSO social media pages and garnered several tips from the public. Detectives used these tips, as well as evidence obtained through the investigation, to identify Jackson as the suspect responsible for the burglaries. In one of the security videos from the Covington-area clinic, the letters EMS can be seen on the suspect’s undershirt. Detectives have since learned that Jackson worked as a mechanic for a local ambulance company in the metro area.
A search of Jackson’s vehicle and residence located the ski mask, flip flops and latex/rubber gloves. Detectives also located a GPS device and pry bars believed to have been used during the crimes and some of the stolen prescription bottles.
Jackson was arrested on four counts of Simple Burglary of a Pharmacy.
