Ronda Sylvest Varnado
December 6, 1962 - July 6, 2017


RONDA SYLVEST VARNADO, AGE 54 and a resident of Franklinton was in an accident on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in route to a call. She was an avid volunteer and fire fighter for the Washington Parish Fire District 2 for the past 5 years. She was a 1980 graduate of Bowling Green School. She was a retired registered nurse. She loved her Lord, family, church and community. She also had a special pet Rascal.
Survived by: Husband: Harold Varnado, Jr. of Franklinton; 2 Sons: Jacob Alan Varnado, Jared Evan Varnado both of Franklinton; 2 Step sons: Stuart Mitchell and Marie Varnado, Kyle Matthew and Leslie Varnado both of Franklinton; Parents: Lawrence and Nell Fricke Sylvest of Franklinton; Brother and sister in law: Larry and Debbie Sylvest of Franklinton; Sister: Kathy Sylvest of Franklinton; Brother in law: Devoy Hill; 6 Step grandchildren; Numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her sister Jeri Sylvest Hill.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home after 10 AM Sunday, July 9, 2017 with a funeral service to be held at 2 PM with Rev. Larry Archote and Dr. Gene Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with full firefighter honors.
