Charlotte Michelle Gibson
February 08, 1970 - May 29, 2017


Sis. Charlotte Lewis Gibson, born February 8, 1970 to the late Mr. Johnny C. Lewis of Sandy Hook, MS and Mrs. Hattie Jane (Keys) Lewis, passed away on May 29, 2017.
Charlotte was baptized at a young age by the late Rev. Eugene Wilson of First Greater St. James Baptist Church, New Orleans, LA. She continued her Christian journey when she re-located back to Bogalusa, LA. She joined St. John Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Brown. Charlotte was a very active Member of St. John Temple. She served on the Usher Board and assisted in teaching Sunday School.
Charlotte, was a very devoted wife to Stefon L. Gibson and a loving mother to Paris L. Gatlin, Emmanuel L. Lewis and Antoine D. Lewis; an awesome grandmother to Tishawn J. Gatlin; an outstanding God Mother to Jaylon Barnes, Myshawn Fox and Mahki Navarre.
Charlotte was compassionate, warm hearted and spirited person, who enjoyed life and had a nack for helping others. You could know by her smile and warm hugs she gave. She was always ready and willing to help others. She was loved by many.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Johnnie C. Lewis; sisters, Mrs. Lavon Franklin, Mrs. Rachael (Lewis) Allen and Mrs. Ernestine Johnson Potter.
Charlotte leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Mr. Stefon L. Gibson; sons, Paris Gatlin, Emmanuel Lewis and Antoine Lewis; three God children, Jaylon Barnes, Myshawn Fox and Mahki Navarre; her mother, Mrs. Hattie Jane Keys (Robert) Burnell; four sisters, Gail Quillen, Tonya’ (Fred) Bickham, Christine Moses, Johnnie L. Lewis; brother, Albert G. Jackson; two dear friends, Tiffany Barnes and Charlotte Hosey and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, June 2, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm at St. John Temple COGIC in Bogalusa.
