Franklinton native and attorney Billy Burris, who last week announced his bid for the 22nd Judicial District Division “E” judgeship, appeared before the Washington Parish Council Monday (May 8, 2017) to spread the word of his candidacy. Billy Burris is the son William E. Burris who is the current presiding District Judge in District “E” and who has announced his retirement effective December 31, 2017.An election will be held October 14, 2017.
