After being notified about the sexual
abuse of a minor female on March 16, 2017, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s
Office investigated and identified LaQuincy Donshae Stewart (20), a resident of
Vernon School Road north of Franklinton, as the suspect in the forcible rape of
the fourteen year old.
A warrant was obtained for
Stewart’s arrest and Stewart, accompanied by his attorney, turned himself in to
the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office on April 26, 2017. Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “I can’t say enough about the good work of our patrol deputies and detectives. They work hard to solve crimes in our parish and put criminals in jail. While we go about our daily activities of work, school, shopping and whatever else we do, our officers are diligently working to protect us and to solve crimes. This includes the fine jail staff that have to manage the worst segment of our population twenty-four hours per day. Our Sheriff’s Office staff is top-notch.”
