Deputies responded to her residence after neighbors reported hearing a loud noise and seeing lights from a vehicle exiting a near-by roadway and the victim’s house on fire. The home was already engulfed by flames when the TPSO, Ponchatoula Volunteer Fire Department and Acadian Ambulance Services arrived on scene. Poche's body was located inside of the residence. Louisiana State Fire Marshalls Office determined an accelerant was used to fuel the fire.
TPSO has identified Timothy Rouchon (26) of Abbeville as a person of interest in this case.
Additionally, Ms. Poche's vehicle, a green Mercury Marquis, was not located at her residence but was found abandoned by the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office on April 10th around 11:30 pm in Bogalusa.
At this time, Sheriff Edwards is requesting your assistance in locating Mr. Rouchon. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Timothy Rouchon is asked to immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 800.554.5245.
