On March 28, 2017, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office and St Helena Parish Sheriff's Office joined forces in a collaborative effort to locate stolen Firearms. Detectives were able to recover two stolen firearms one being an AK-47, as well as drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine.
Detectives went to the residence of Ryan Hickey (29) at Edy Road Amite, Louisiana in St. Helena Parish. There they located Hickey, Donnie Clint “CJ” Johnson (26) of Holden, William Joseph Maher (36) of Madisonville, and Garrett Hopwood (22) of Pine Grove.
Hickey was charged with Possession of Schedule II methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Stolen Firearm, and Convicted Felon in Possession of Firearm. Johnson, Maher, and Hopwood were each charged with Possession of Schedule II methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
