The Washington Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating reports of shots fired in the Mt. Hermon. Around 4:00 am, shots were fired into cars and houses from the Pleasant Hill Road area to the Vernon community.
WPSO Chief Deputy Mike Haley reported at 8:48 am that at “Approximately 4:00 a.m. this morning, several residences and vehicles were shot at/into in the Mt. Hermon area. Our officers and supervisors are on the scene now trying to interview victims and gain information as to exactly what occurred. From what we know now, no persons were injured. This investigation is going to take a while and likely no release will be made until later this afternoon.”
