Melissa Kay Rodgers
July 22, 1968 - April 25, 2017 


Melissa Jenkins “Missy” Rodgers, 48, a resident of Angie, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the home of her mother in Angie.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Rodgers of Angie, LA; her son, Allen Rodgers of Angie, LA; her mother, Gladys Jenkins of Angie, LA; her sister, Angela (Mark) Hillhouse of Angie, LA; her brother, Rev. Chad (Amy) Jenkins of Bogalusa, LA; her mother-in-law, Sherrial Rodgers of Tyler, TX; her father-in-law-in-law, Jerry (Ginger) Rodgers of Bay Town, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Hardy Jenkins; her paternal grandparents, Manson and Edith Jenkins; and her maternal grandparents, Barney and Ruth Kuhn.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Chad Jenkins, Rev. Rusty Kuhn, and Rev. Nathan Lott officiating. Interment will follow at Jenkins Family Cemetery, M. Jenkins Road, Highway 436, Angie, LA 70426.
