Obituary

Lana Jo Cantrell Todd
April 8, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, and friend Lana Jo Cantrell Todd. Lana passed, at age 66, early in the morning hours of April 8th after a long battle with COPD.
Lana was born in Bogalusa, LA and grew up in Franklinton, LA where she graduated from Franklinton High School. She then attended L.S.U., P.R.C. and S.L.U. Lana decided to live in Baton Rouge and worked retail until being hired by the State of Louisiana Housing and Finance Agency where she worked for decades and was lauded with awards for her performance. She retired from the Louisiana School Retirement System. Lana was extremely artistic and loved creating something out of little to nothing. Her love and wit went into everything she crafted. She was most renowned for her cloths pin dolls. Many will remember her 20 plus years at the Broadmoor Arts and Crafts Festival. However, her favorite hobby was spending time with her granddaughter, Camryn. She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
Lana is survived by her daughter, Carrie Todd Yelverton and her spouse Eric Yelverton of Central, and their daughters Aubrey and Camryn; sisters, Terry Seal of Franklinton and Janice O’Connor of Baton Rouge; and brother, Wayne Cantrell and spouse Pat Webb Cantrell of Bell Vista, AR.
She was preceded in death by husband, Harry Todd Jr. of Baker; parents, Vaughn and Josye Cantrell of Franklinton; and sisters, Roxanne Burris and Evon Koonse.
Pallbearers will be Vincent Misita, Brent Misita, Vic Todd, Jr., Rusty Todd, Michael Todd, Scott Blair, Chris Blair and Landon O’Connor. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Blair and George O’Connor, Jr.
Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East Chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 4:30 pm until 8:30 pm with religious services at 6 pm Wednesday conducted by Rev. Rodney Wood. Graveside services will be at noon on Thursday, April 13, in the Ellis Cemetery in Franklinton.
