W. P. Man Charged With Numerous Domestic Crimes

Acting on information from a concerned citizen, Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies gathered evidence that William parish resident Jacob Williams (30),  physically abused an adult female, held her against her will, placed a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her in the presence of her children. Additionally, he struck one of her children, necessitating medical treatment.

Patrol deputies arrested Williams at his residence Wednesday (March 22) and charged him with domestic abuse by aggravated assault, domestic abuse by battery strangulation, domestic abuse by child endangerment, false imprisonment, and cruelty to a juvenile. Williams is being held in the Washington Parish Jail without bond on the domestic violence charges.
Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “Once again, a concerned citizen boldly came forward and provided information which enabled our officers to solve this crime and make an arrest. I cannot over-emphasize the importance of our parish citizens reporting crimes to the Sheriff’s Office. Working together, we are a formidable team in our mutual fight against crime. Thank you for all you do and thanks to our fine deputies for their good work.”
