District Attorney Warren Montgomery reported that Jeremy M. Guild (27) of Pearl River, pleaded guilty Monday (March 20) to two counts of forcible rape for raping two girls, ages 5 and 7 at the time. District Judge Raymond Childress sentenced Guild to 40 years in prison and lifetime registration as a sex offender.
The rapes were reported in July 2015 by the older girl’s stepmother. The child revealed to the stepmother that while staying at a relative’s home, Guild came into the room where she was sleeping and raped her. During their investigation, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputies learned about the second victim, who revealed a similar story, but Guild also infected the 5-year-old with an STD.
Assistant District Attorney Becky Jo Hollen prosecuted the case.
