Joyce Pounds Rice
April 12, 1947 - March 8, 2017



JOYCE EVELYN POUNDS RICE, AGE 69 and a resident of Franklinton died at 11:45 am Wednesday March 8, 2017 at Good Samaritan Living Center. She worked at Winn-Dixie in Ferriday and later in Franklinton before retiring as the Seafood manager. Joyce enjoyed reading and using her computer to keep up with her many friends and family. She was a big NASCAR fan and enjoyed the times she went to the races, especially the time she saw Dale Earnhardt win at Talladega.
Survived by: Husband: Robert H. Rice of Franklinton; 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Ricky H. Rice of Laplace, Brian Keith and Jocelyn Anglin of Ruskin, FL; Granddaughter and Spouse: Kelly and David Harper; 2 Great-grandchildren; 2 Sisters and Brothers in law: Marti and Tom Inglehart of Baton Rouge, Bonnie and Darwin Clegg of Prairieville; Also numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her son James Allen Anglin, daughter Robbie Merle McKenzie and parents James Emeril Pounds and Ava Lucille Stilley Pounds.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Saturday March 11th from 9 am until 11 am. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Eld. Duane Ball officiating.
