PATRICIA WRAY OGDEN, AGE 67 and a resident
of Baton Rouge passed from this life into her eternal rest Sunday afternoon
February 28, 2017 at Heritage Manor of Baton Rouge Nursing Home after a lengthy
illness. She was born August 24, 1949 in Harlingen, TX to the late Edward M. and
Jewel Maxine Wray. The family moved to the Mt. Pisgah area of Washington Parish
in 1950. Pat was a 1967 graduate of Franklinton High School and later received
her B.A. in Education and her 30 plus hours from Southeastern Louisiana
University. Pat was vivacious, creative and caring. She loved music and was an
accomplished vocalist. After moving to Baton Rouge, she worked as an
administrative assistant to Gordon Ogden whom she married in 1985. Together they
worked in several ministries including Baton Rouge Rescue, which they
founded.
Survived by: Husband: Pastor Gordon C. Ogden, Jr. of Baton Rouge;
Sister and Brother in law: JoAnn Wray Wells and Mike Wells of Edmond, OK; Nieces
and Spouse: Deborah Wells Ogletree and David Ogletree of Houston, TX,; 5 Nephews
and Spouses: Duane W. Wray, Jr. of Waveland, MS, Edward M. Wray, II of San
Carlos, CA, Kevin M. and Julie Wells of Houston, TX, Mark S. and Jessica Wells
of Colorado Springs, CO, Brian D. and Amy Wells of Decatur, GA; Also 10
great-nieces and great-nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents and a
brother Duane W. Wray, Sr.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday
March 3rd from 5 pm until 8 pm and after 12 pm on Saturday. A funeral service
will be held at 2 pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Scott Spinks
officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staffs of Heritage Manor
of Baton Rouge and Life Sources Hospice for their caring service to
Patricia.
