Plans are currently being made for the ALIVE 2017 Christian Music Festival that will be held on April 22, 2017 in the Washington Parish Fairgrounds. This is the first year of the festival, but plans are to make this an annual event and grow it each year. Two of the organizers, Mike Daniel and Stuart Varnado, recently spoke at the Franklinton Town Council meeting to request their support and partnership.
The event will provide positive entertainment for the community, an event that’s family-friendly, uplifting and encouraging, and something set aside from what society is teaching our young people. It will showcase local talent with plans to eventually add a nationally recognized Christian artist to join local talent. The main goal is to provide free entertainment while winning souls to Christ through music.
