Slidell PD Busts 2 With Stolen Assault Rifle and Narcotics

Employees from a Slidell McDonald's called Slidell Police Saturday (February 11) after witnessing suspicious subjects armed with guns in the parking lot. The subjects left before officers arrives but the employees provided information on their vehicle. Officers in the area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching that description and identified the occupants as Kendall Blakely (27) of New Orleans and Timothy Marques (33) of Biloxi.
During the traffic stop, officers observed an assault rifle and a burning marijuana cigarette inside the vehicle, which led to the immediate pat-down of both subjects. Officers recovered nearly 8 grams of cocaine and three pills, believed to be Xanax, as well as the marijuana cigarette. Further investigation revealed that the rifle was reported stolen out of New Orleans.
The two were charged with numerous firearms and narcotics violations.
