Florida Men Busted Using Counterfeit Credit Cards

After employees at several Covington-area businesses reported suspicious subjects possibly using stolen credit cards, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's deputies located and arrested Florida residents Eric Jackson (26), Garian Brown (23), Isaiah Toy (19), and Raymond Jenkins (25) Monday (February 13, 2017).
The men had already purchased several thousand dollars of clothing, Nike shoes and sports equipment using counterfeit credit cards, and they were attempting to purchase high dollar gift cards when deputies arrived. A stack of counterfeit credit cards was located in one of the stores’ restrooms and more were located concealed inside a hidden compartment in their vehicle. Deputies also located several thousand dollars in jewelry purchased from an Alabama jewelry store hidden inside the vehicle.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Financial Crimes Unit is working with the affected banks and other agencies, to identify the full scope of this fraud ring.
