Bogalusa Man Arrested: Really Dangerous Drugs Found

The early morning hours of February 16 were anything but normal for a Bogalusa man. Armed with a search warrant, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force entered the home of Cody Jared Hall (26) on Bankston Drive in Bogalusa. Inside they found a large amount of illegal narcotics including heroin, marijuana, Suboxone, Gabapentin, $3,100 cash, and various drug paraphernalia items.  The narcotics, cash, and an automobile was seized. The heroin had traces of fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid analgesic that is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine and linked to numerous overdose deaths.
Hall was booked into the Washington Parish Jail charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I drugs, possession with intent to distribute Schedule III drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and sale, distribution or possession of legend drugs without a prescription or order.

Sheriff Randy Seal commented (in part), “Hall was a major drug dealer operating in a quiet residential neighborhood and he earned and deserved his arrest and trip to jail . . Somewhere along the way, this young man failed to learn some important and meaningful life lessons. Society is reaping the benefits of Dr. Spock’s permissiveness. If you don’t correct a child when he is small, he will have the parents crying as an adult.”
