On January 20, 2017, the Mandeville Police Department received a Crime Stoppers Tip concerning an ROTC Instructor at Mandeville High School having inappropriate relationships with female students. During the course of the investigation, the instructor was identified as Hosea McGhee (B/M 48 YOA) of Slidell.
A search warrant was obtained for McGhee’s phone, which resulted in locating a large number of inappropriate text messages to at least one juvenile. McGhee was placed under arrest for 1 count of Computer-aided Solicitation of a Minor. McGhee was later transported to the ST Tammany Parish Jail.
The case is still under investigation and additional charges are expected.
