William Meadows (25) of Slidell was arrested over the weekend after he robbed a Slidell-area gas station on Sunday, January 8. Meadows entered the Shell gas station on Hwy 11 wearing a ski mask, showed the store clerk a large knife, demanded the clerk lie face down on the floor, opened the cash register, removed an undisclosed amount of money, and fled the store.
Shortly after the robbery, St. Tammany Parish deputies located Meadows hiding behind some bushes several blocks away, arrested without incident, and booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail for one count of Armed Robbery.
