I-12 Traffic Stop Near Hammond Nets Half Million Dollars in Cocaine

A traffic stop Wednesday (December 28) on I-12 near Hammond resulted in two arrests and discovery of approximately 16.3 Kilograms of Cocaine with an estimated street value of $464,550.00.
Troopers stopped a 2014 Ford F-150 driven by Maria Delores Daniel for a traffic violation. During the course of the traffic stop, Troopers became suspicious of criminal activity and requested written consent to search the vehicle. Troopers received written consent to search the vehicle and received an alert to the vehicle by K-9 “Rex”. During the search, Troopers discovered 16.3 Kilograms of Cocaine within the vehicle. 
Maria Delores Daniel and her passenger, Julio Cesar Cisneros were both arrested and booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail for Possession of Over 400 grams of Cocaine.
