WPSO Locates & Arrests Covington Man on Tangipahoa Crimes

(Update on November 5 Story)
Glenn Edward Castle (28) of Covington was arrested on November 5 by detectives from the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office on the charges of Obstruction of Justice, Simple Arson, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm and being a fugitive from Tangipahoa Parish. He also faces charges of Armed Robbery, Second Degree Kidnapping and Aggravated Second Degree Battery in Tangipahoa Parish.
In Tangipahoa Parish, Castle is accused of robbing and kidnapping an elderly Loranger resident. After hitting the elderly man in the head with a hammer, Castle tied the victim up, stole firearms from his residence, fled with the victim in the victim’s pick-up truck, pulled over near a wooded area, and tied the victim to a tree before fleeing.
Anonymous information was received by WPSO detectives that Castle was hiding out on Sleepy Hollow Road in Franklinton and Castle was arrested without incident.  Detectives discovered a pistol believed to have been used in crimes committed in Tangipahoa Parish and located the kidnapping victim's vehicle which Castle confessed to burning.
