Obituary

Eunice Lott Hickman

May 28, 1928 - February 14, 2021

Eunice Lott Hickman, age 92 and a resident of Franklinton, went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday February 14, 2021 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a charter member of Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church, who truly loved her Lord and church family. Through the years, Eunice served her church as Secretary and Treasurer, Sunday School teacher and even sang special music during services. She worked alongside on her family on their dairy farm nearly all of her life. Eunice had a green thumb and could grow just about anything in her garden, especially her favorite roses. She was an excellent cook that always enjoyed feeding her family and others in her church and community. For many years, Eunice cut the hair of men and boys she knew, free of charge. She was always a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Survived by: 2 Sons and Daughters in law: Murphy M. Hickman, Jr. and Charlene Hickman of Mt. Hermon, Rev. Leon and Rose Hickman of Franklinton; Daughter and Son in law: Mary and James Willingham of Franklinton; 9 Grandchildren and Spouses: Doug and Tammy Hickman, Angela Hickman, Ken and Hyla Hickman, Dennis and Theresa Davis, Sondra and Kevin Magee, Chris and Larrilyn Hickman, Vickie and Joey Spears, Sharonda and Dale Thigpen, Andrea and Ashley Hebert; 23 Great-grandchildren and 25 Great-great-grandchildren; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her son Rev. Donald Hickman, her husband of 66 years Murphy M. Hickman, Sr., grandson Randy Hickman, parents James V. Lott and Lucy Creel Lott and 11 siblings as she was the last surviving member of her generation.

Visitation will be at Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church (18018 Lee Road, Franklinton) Wednesday February 17th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 10:00 am on Thursday. A funeral service will be held in the church at 1:00 pm Thursday with Rev. Leon Hickman, Rev. Ken Hickman and Rev. Bryan Bates officiating. Burial will follow in the Tyson Cemetery.
