Community Event in Bogalusa – Fighting the Spread of COVID-19

On Saturday (December 12, 2020) starting 11:00 a.m., COVID-19 Preparedness Kits will be distributed, while supplies last, at a drive-thru give-away to each church in Bogalusa. This is another effort to to decrease the spread of COVID-19 in the Bogalusa Community. Supplies are limited.

It was mutually agreed to distribute to churches that express an interest. If the church chooses to participate, their representative(s) is to be present at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church located at 1104 Poplas Street.

COVID-19 preventative measures will be exercised: please mask-up and social distance.

The supplies given to the churches will then be distributed by the pastors or their representatives to their members or non-members at their discretion.

This project is a joint effort of the Louisiana Department of Health, Durand"Rudy" Macklin, Executive Director of Bureau of Minority Health Access, and the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sport, United Way, and Bogalusa Councilwoman Gloria Kates.
