Katherine Lucille Lee Williams Bayard

Katherine Lucille Lee Williams Bayard passed away on November 8, 2020 in Covington, LA at the age of 92. She was born in Henleyfield, MS on October 9, 1928.

She was a long time resident of Bogalusa, LA where she enjoyed being involved in her community. She was a long time member of Westside Emmanuel Baptist Church where she was a member of Ruth’s Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Bogalusa Garden Guild, Matrons Club, Delphian Book Club, and the Bogalusa Civic League.

She leaves behind her daughters, Renee Williams Gremillion, Angela (Ronnie) Williams Pickering, and Karla Williams Mizell; her grandchildren, Dana (Jeff) Guerra, Britt (Monica) Champagne, John Paul Pickering, George (Jennifer) Scruggs, Jr., Katie (Zackary) Mizell Louk; and great grandchildren, Emma & Olivia Guerra, Hanna & Noah Champagne, Aubrey, Savannah, & Caleb Scruggs, and Makenzie, Chris, & Lucille Louk. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Sarah Lee DeVine, Carolynn Lee, Patricia Lee Faucheaux, and Walter Lee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Williams; her parents, Walter & Flora Wise Lee; two brothers, James Stanley Lee & Cecil Lavern Lee; and niece, Pamela Lee Lousteau.

Services celebrating her life will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory in Bogalusa, LA on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the funeral service begins at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Marcus Rosa and Rev. George Scruggs will officiate. Music provided by Waylon Mills. Interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
