John Nelson Parker
January 26, 1952 - July 3, 2020
John Nelson Parker, age 68 and a longtime resident of the Enon Community, died at his home early Friday morning July 3, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. He worked as an offshore driller with many different companies for 34 years, most recently with Hercules Offshore, Inc. John loved deer hunting, all types of fishing and spending time in the outdoors. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church.
Survived by: Wife of 46 years: Connie Parker of Enon; 2 Sons: Jeffrey Parker, John David Parker both of Enon; Granddaughter: Lexi Williams of Hammond; Sister and Brother in law: Sue and Russell Robert of Enon; Brother in law and Sister in law: Gary and Jean Parker of Franklinton; Special nephew: Darryl Mizell of Enon
He was preceded in death by his parents Jake Parker and Marie Corkern Parker.
A graveside funeral service will be held in the Knight Memorial Gardens in Enon at 11:00 am Monday July 6th with Rev. Chris Wheeler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to Enon Baptist Church (14049 Hwy. 16, Franklinton, LA 70438)
