What we eat everyday and the availability of healthy food is always a challenge but this challenge is getting easier due to the numerous healthy eating projects happening in the Magic City of Bogalusa. Healthy food is being grown at schools, community gardens, and gardens for cancer survivors. A local grocery store is making it easier to locate the healthier foods. Children and residents are learning how to make healthy food choices.
What about what we drink everyday? How does this affect our weight and health? Dr. Queen will share about the importance of knowing what is in your daily drinks and tell us about OLOAH's citywide challenge to "Rethink Your Drink".
